This is a great book store if you want to find good deal. The majority of their books are in excellent condition and the environment is very welcoming. This place reminds me of the old book stores that I use to frequent when I lived in NY and would head to the city. The staff is very friendly and will help you with any questions that you may have. They are an excellent fixture of the Square and they should be checked out before anyone heads to the usual Books-A-Million or Barnes & Noble.
I found some great books on Latin America there at excellent prices and am extremely happy with my purchase. Whenever I have time I always make sure to drop by the shop to see if I can find any books that will aid me in my research. I highly recommend this place because there are some books that are suprisingly hard to find in the other major retailers. If you have kids, they have a good comic book selection that can keep them occupied as well.
Another great thing about the shop is that it is a major part of McDonough Square's history. Do yourself a favor and visit the shop during October where they have their regular Haunted History tours. These tours do an excellent job of informing the public on not just haunting events, but it also does a terrific job of giving the audience a good prespective on the Square's history.
This shop should be the first stop for any serious book enthusiast! With excellent prices for books in great condition, this store should not be overlooked. - Al-Men81
Ghost walking Tour in McDonough GA: My wife and myself with the kids went to the "Bell Books and Candle Shop" and decided to go on the Ghost Walking Tour. My family had a wonderful time! We have been on several outings through out the square however, this is the best tour we all have taken in quite awhile! I advise everyone to take the tour! - Melissa C.

Do you like books but hate what the big stores charge? Do you like shopping in a warm and historic setting? If you say yes to these them you need to come to Bell Book and Candle in McDonough Georgia. ...Inside you will find stacks of inexpensive used books and comics. They also sell movies and have a snack bar. The books range in price from fifty cents to five dollars. That is (no) more than you pay for a muffin at Barnes and Noble. ...They are in good condition with the price on the inner cover. You can find volumes that would take several google searches to duplicate, bound and printed. ...You have to consider you are getting a great deal and find it yourself. You don't have to be choosy here because the books are so expensive. You can be a knowledge pig. The last time I was there I got a book on the subconscious for two dollars that I would never buy at Barns and Noble.... Come to the Bell before three, get some coffee from the snack bar, and buy some books! You will save enough money to make it worth your while. -Charles Lundy (full review available at http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1491452/bell_book_and_candle_mcdonough_georiga.html?cat=38.
